Veterinary Compounding in Kitchener
Greenbrook Pharmacy compounds medications for animals in our on-site lab at 421 Greenbrook Drive, Kitchener, on your veterinarian's written direction. Preparations are collected in person at our pharmacy counter.
What We Prepare
The same compounding work we do for people, made for an animal patient to your veterinarian's written direction — a strength that is not commercially available, a different dosage form, or a formulation that leaves out a specific non-medicinal ingredient.
Flavouring is often the reason a veterinary preparation is compounded, and it is something we do routinely on the human side too.
How to Arrange It
Written direction from your veterinarian is required. Your vet can send it to the pharmacy, or you can bring it to the counter.
If you or your veterinarian want to talk through whether a preparation is workable before it is written, call (519) 742-9955 and ask for the compounding lab. Preparations are collected in person at our counter — prescriptions are not accepted, filled, or shipped online.
Our Compounding Lab
Veterinary preparations are made in the same on-site lab as our human compounding. More about how that works, and what else we prepare, on our compounding pharmacy page.
