What a Medication Review Is

A medication review is a scheduled conversation with one of our pharmacists about everything you currently take — prescriptions, over-the-counter products and supplements — in one sitting rather than a bottle at a time.

It is a chance to ask the questions that do not fit into a quick counter visit: what each item is for, when you are meant to take it, what to do about a dose you missed, and whether anything on your list is worth raising with your prescriber.

What to Bring

• Everything you take, in the original packaging where possible — including anything prescribed elsewhere
• Any over-the-counter products and supplements you take regularly
• Your Ontario health card
• A list of your questions, if it helps to write them down first

Bringing the actual bottles is more useful than a list — it removes the guesswork about strengths and it catches the ones people forget to mention.

Supplements Count Too

Our pharmacy counter sits inside Greenbrook Natural Foods, so supplements come up in these conversations more often than they might elsewhere. If you take vitamins, herbal products or other supplements alongside prescribed medications, bring them along and a pharmacist can talk through how they fit with the rest of your list.

Arranging a Review

Ask at the pharmacy counter, or call (519) 742-9955, and we will arrange a time. Reviews take longer than a counter question, so it is worth booking rather than dropping in. The review is free.

If you only have a quick question, you do not need a review at all — a pharmacist is at the counter during pharmacy hours and you are welcome to just ask.
